KFC
KFC Singapore is the local chapter of the global restaurant group specializing in serving chicken meals seasoned with a unique blend of 11 herbs and spices.
Tracing its roots back to 1977, KFC Singapore is one of the first restaurant chains to open in the country, and celebrated its 35th anniversary in 2012.
In 2011, the restaurant chain decided to invest in an infrastructure that would not only serve as its accounting solution, but also provide workflow processes that could be used by all of its HQ employees from any device, at any time, from anywhere.
Sciessent
Sciessent is a global company that offers chemical treatment products used in several industries, ranging from drinking water to clothing and footwear, medical devices, and surfacessuch as flooring and counters. The products include antimicrobial, anti-odor and water repellent treatments.
Sciessent has about 50 employees worldwide, primarily at offices in Massachusetts and Taiwan.
Sciessent’s Vice President of Finance, Jennifer Moore, says the company had utilized Sage MAS 500 for about seven years, and in 2015 they faced the loss of Sage support for MAS 500. Their partner recommended Acumatica as a way to replace and upgrade their financial management system.
Youngevity
Youngevity makes and distributes health and nutritional products through a vast member network.
With 400 products, thousands of orders per day, and over 100,000 customers, Youngevity needed to automate its accounting and distribution processes.
Youngevity has six warehouses located around the world and needed a system to deliver a centralized view of several product lines.
Biopelle
Biopelle is an innovative skin care company in aesthetic medicine, and sells rejuvenation and wellness skin care products to doctors, medical clinics and spas.
When Sage notified Biopelle it would soon discontinue its support for SagePro 100, its legacy financial software, Biopelle’s Director of Finance saw an opportunity to integrate several operational software programs that didn’t work together, and purchase an ERP system to provide deeper insight into Biopelle’s customers and prospects.
BLD Brands
Doug Pak founded BLD Brands in late 2005. He raised more than $20 million and used it to buy the Spaghetti Warehouse and later, Papa John’s and Hardees franchises. BLD stands for “Building Lives and Dreams.”
In 2017, with a plan to double his restaurant holdings through acquisitions, Pak hired Andy Gale, a longtime friend and CEO of numerous high-growth firms.
They soon decided together, however, that the timing wasn’t right for Pak’s growth plan.
“We realized we just didn’t have the infrastructure that would allow us to reasonably absorb
this acquisition,” says Gale, now BLD Brands’ CEO/CFO.
Global Beauty Care
Wholesale beauty product distributor Global Beauty Care was founded eight years ago in a New York City basement. Using advanced technology and quality ingredients, GBC, as the company is called, created a full line of innovative skin care products to help repair, replenish and refortify your skin.
The extensive product line appealed to customers of all age groups and sales took off. Today, its skincare, facial wipes, and retinol creams can be found in Walmart and other major retailers that collectively boast more than 60,000 stores globally.
“We operated on a standalone financial system on our network that was built many years ago and not for our industry,” says Eric Mizrahi, Director of Operations & IT. “It had a very limited fixed window size, that would only fill up about 1/3 of a modern computer monitor – leaving a lot of screen real estate unutilized.
